    What a wonderful sequel to leave it to Beaver series I can't believe I never seen this I am 63 and I loved leave it to Beaver reruns as a little boy and I cannot believe I have never seen this what a wonderful job they did would it be nice if things were as simple as they were not only in the 50s but actually in the 80s

      Great, glad you came across it and enjoyed it. They went on to make a series based on this movie that ran 101 episodes over four seasons - I have all the episodes also here on my channel from my own recordings of their very first showings in the 1980s since they cannot be found anywhere else and have never been seen or available anywhere for more than 30 years. They are all free and no commercials, just because I wanted others to enjoy them too. You'll see many other actors from original LitB series make fun appearances along the way.

      It wasn't just the Cleavers - every family got dressed nicely to go to school events, dinner at a restaurant, concerts, etc. At the time of the original Leave it to Beaver series of the 1950s-60s, everyone dressed nicely and men wore suit, tie and top hat to go to baseball games and fly on airplanes.

    What happened to baby Ward from the movie, didn't Wally have a son?

    • @shettrick
      @shettrick 9 дней назад

      Yes, Wally and Mary Ellen were shown having a baby boy in final few seconds of the TV movie pilot, and someone mentioned once that its name was Ward. Just as they switched actors and name of Beaver's oldest son from the pilot movie to the TV series (and just as the actors playing Ward and Wally changed from pilot of original series), the producers thought the series needed a character to appeal to young girls, so they started the series with Wally and Mary Ellen already having a daughter in elementary school, and they soon showed them getting pregnant and having a son again.

    Indeed. He is still the beaver. This is what happens when you grow up but no one changes. Everyone’s life is in shambles except June and Wally. Beaver is insufferable as a middle-aged man who relies on everyone else to help him, yet gets mad when they do. Nepo baby who gets mad at his kids because they aren’t carbon copies of him. In the end, everyone decides “it’s okay! Cause that’s just beaver!” And then he gets a house for far less than it’s worth. Thanks for uploading. Hilarious movie. Poignant movie if you just cut off the bit where everything is magically okay in the end.

      Well, kinda - Barbara Billingsley stopped being voice of Nanny more than a quarter century before Jenny took over - 27 years from Barbara's last episode in 1991 when the original series ended, until Jenny voiced Nanny in the new series that started in 2018. Barbara retired in 2007, more than a decade before Jenny took over, and Barbara died in 2010, followed eight years later by Jenny voicing Nanny on new series.

    For those who are wondering what that steam locomotive is in this movie, it’s New Haven 3016 as Eastern & Portland No. 97 (In fact, the No. 97 is a reference to the Wreck of the Old 97 that happened back in September 27th 1903). New Haven 3016 was sadly scrapped not long after finishing it’s role in the film. If it wasn’t scrapped, it could’ve been in operation at the Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg, Pennsylvania to this day. If you want to hear more of the story of New Haven 3016, you can go check out one of the Scrapped American Excursion Star Steam Locomotives videos from Thunderbolt 1000 Siren Productions that has the whole story of 3016. I even have two comments in the video too, if you want to agree with my comments, that’s fine.

    As serious as Daniel Craig was there was a hint of Roger Moore in him and some comedic moments. Daniel was probably more like Roger than pierce brosnan was to be honest

    • @shettrick
      @shettrick 15 дней назад

      Interesting observation -- could be right that Craig as an actor is closer to Moore than other actors, but I feel the Brosnan Bond movies were much closer to humor and silliness of Moore movies than the Craig movies, which were by far the most serious and gritty

      @@shettrick I can agree on the movies I meant Daniel as a person and as an actor he does have that charm that Roger had pierce was bad ass and was his own style for the most part with a hint of Sean Connery I think and Roger combined
